Sri Lanka set 2

Adam's Peak in the distance. This is a shot from the middle of the trail.

The next 6 are some great views from the top.

This was actually in use! Can you read the sign? Surgery and dispensary.

Local spices for sale at market.

The stone platform in front was used in the ceremony to ordain monks and give them their 8 possessions.

A cave with a man made wall where a monk lives today.

A monk's cave to the left and his meditation walkway to the right.

The flat stone in front of the lake is used to meditate.

There used to be 5 monks living in this cave.

Anuradhapura's skyline, it has a population of 63,000.

The oldest library in Sri Lanka! In a monastary.

Sigiriya, a strange rock formation in the middle of no where. I climbed to the top to see ancient ruins of a royal palace-probably. The caves under it are old monks houses so maybe it is a monastic something on top, they don't know.

The ruins on top with a view. The next pic are frescos in some of the monks' caves.
